As many have written, and supposedly all of you know, on June 7th, we are "allowed" to vote again. This time for the Flanders' regional parliament and government, and the European parliament.
As many of you know, I'm to be situated on the left side of politics, but I'm strongly opposed to Belgium as a country. Let me explain some history as to why I'm so opposed to it.
1. From the start French speaking politicians in Belgium (notice the "politicians" in this sentence, I'm not judging all French speaking people in Belgium), have had one whish: to eliminate Germanic (Flemish if you whish) culture in Belgium. Infamous example is the saying by MR's Didier Reynders "If there's one country to give to Francophones, it's Belgium, Francophone Belgium".
2. Most French speaking people today wouldn't mind being part of France instead of Belgium. This is strongly related to differences in culture you can't ignore. Ask everyone in Flanders to name 10 Walloon artists. Ask every Walloon to name 10 Flemish artists...
3. Politics, due to the regional and cultural differences has become near impossible in Belgium.
4. I'm not entirely against Europe, but Europe should, in my opinion, be a "Europe of the regions" rather than a "Europe of the nations".
Taking these 4 points into consideration, I'm left with the question "Who to vote for on June 7th?". A question that remains unanswered until today.
