Let me know if your QR scanner is able to decode it.
With QR Scanner for iPhone it works.

After reading the truth about ditching the iPhone for Android, I must say it's a well written article.

As for myself, I have no experience whatsoever with Android. I have an iPhone, and wouldn't want to switch to any other phone.

Sure, I like open source. Sure, the iPhone is closed as Guantanamo Bay, but what Apple has, and Android lacks (partly), is a complete integration of their equipment. As far as I know (if I'm wrong, forgive me), there's no Android alternative for this setup: control your iTunes library from your iPhone and play the music on your Airplay capable Denon amp.
I'm sure you can do similar things with Android, but in my experience with open source alternatives (hey, I use them everyday) to proprietary software, it often requires a lot of configuration, while Apple offers this experience out of the box.

I'm not going to say iPhones are technically superior to Android phones, nor that Android phones are not for me. What I am saying though, is that the total experience of Android can (for the moment) in no way be compared to what the iPhone offers. That being said, who knows what the future brings

the color social

Have you ever noticed how quite some social networks use blue as their main color? Have you ever wondered why?

You may think it must be because there are more women on Twitter (53%) than men (47%), women comprise 56.2% of Facebook’s audience and 61.75% of LinkedIn users are women .

Ok, so maybe it's because blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity. It is often described as peaceful, tranquil, secure, and orderly.? I don't know about you, but most of the times I'm using one of the social networks, I'm not exactly feeling calm or serene.

My bet it is because if you ask people their favorite color, a clear majority will say blue and much of the world is blue (skies, seas).So in using blue, these social networks look somehow familiar.

What's your opinion?

cleanup script

At one of my previous projects we used an indexing tool that created full text copies of pdf files. Unfortunately the tool had a bug that prevented it from removing the txt files after indexing. I then created a script to do that cleanup.
Now I enhanced the script to make it work for any filetype.
